Women's Football World Cup will be broadcast for the first time in Brazil

In 2019, the Women's Football World Cup will be based in France, and for the first time in Brazilian history the championship will have complete coverage on SportTV and the open TV channel Rede Globo will broadcast the Brazilian team's games.

Although the championship does not have the same coverage as the Men's Football World Cup, is a great victory for women's sport.

The women's world championship has existed since 1991 but has never gained space on Brazilian television. Only in the last tournament in 2015 did SporTV and TV Brasil broadcast the games, but did not provide complete coverage.

In 2019 the cup will take place between June 7th and July 7th, and Brazil will compete in the first phase in Group C, alongside the teams from Australia, Italy and Jamaica.

Brazil never won a World Cup, and had their best result in 2007, where they faced Germany in the final, but lost 2-0, reaching 0nd place.

After the award, the girls spoke out on national television, asking for support for the women's football.

O women's football suffers from a lack of investment, and with the visibility it will have in 2019, the teams hope to reach new sponsors. The intention is for this modality to grow and continue to evolve.
