Real Madrid presents the futuristic design of its new stadium

]Recently, the Spanish club Real Madrid presented a project to remodel its stadium, the Santiago Bernabeu.

Therefore, the first images released of the project show that the renovation will follow a futuristic line. In addition to the Bernabéu, another stadium also underwent construction. Tottenham's Hotspur Stadium was placed on synthetic grass for football field.

The interventions at the Bernabéu were announced by the club's president, Florentino Pérez. Then, on the stadium's VIP stage, he said that the renovation will cost the equivalent of R$2,48 billion. According to Pérez, the works will take – at least – three and a half years to be completed.

Changes at the Santiago Bernabéu

The renovation at the Santiago Bernabéu will have a greater impact on the outside of the stadium, changing few things inside. Certainly, the works have already started this May and are expected to be completed only in 2022.

Therefore, the highlight of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium project is the retractable roof, which will open 76 meters. Furthermore, the retractable roof can be closed in up to 15 minutes.

Furthermore, the entire external part of the stadium will be covered with stainless steel plates. Above all, this finish will allow broadcasts of game images to be broadcast outside the field.

Inside the stadium, in its upper part, 360-degree screens will be installed. This way, fans will be able to watch the images from different angles, seeing everything that happens on the field.

It is worth remembering that the “wave” of renovations in European stadiums did not only affect the Bernabéu and the Hotspur Stadium. Other clubs have also invested in remodeling their “homes” to offer fans a true high-tech experience in the world of football.

Stadiums that invested in technology and synthetic grass for football pitches

Spanish club Atlético de Madrid transformed its stadium, the Wanda Metropolitano, by installing LED technology and Synthetic grass, separating the field from the stands.

Another example is the Astana Arena (Kazakhstan). With capacity for 30 thousand fans, the arena has a retractable roof and artificial lawn, as it was designed to also be a space for shows.

In Brazil, many clubs also adopted the Synthetic grass in their stadiums. After all, the material has many advantages how to be more resistant, durable, require less maintenance and have great cost-benefit.
